Forum private message notification mailer error ...

I just received 2 emails about pm's that were sent 12 days ago , and which I received emails about 12 days ago .....

Sounds like maybe your ISP's mail service wasn't up at the particular second those notifications were sent and (our side) just retried (there's usually a delay on the order of days).

ere forum says i have 2 private messages at the moment... i have no new ones. ...

Do you happen to have 20 messages in your inbox with 2 on hold? In that case you need to delete some to make room and click the link to release them.

Thank you for prompt reply.. Yes. There were a bunch , mainly bashing the right-drift of this forum over the past few months... Deleting all pm's and clicking some non-obvious 'release-all' seem to clear the chamber, so to speak ...

@anomie--You can set your PM mailbox to delete the oldest message when the box is full if you want. Look under Private Messages and then Rules, folders and settings. It's at the bottom of that page.

Also, I have the same problem with old emails about once a month. It's a problem on my end with verizon. I haven't figured out how to fix it.
