Apologies if this is self-evident or has been addressed elsewhere on these boards, but how does one find Jacob's very first blog post and read through forward in time from there? On the blog page all I see is a list of most popular postings and other postings of interest. Thanks.

There's no [longer any] particular ordering to the blog posts since they get reposted randomly.
Here's a list of all of them http://earlyretirementextreme.com/sitemap.xml Be sure to read the comments too.

That's odd. It was working the other day when I fixed a link.
You could always start with the index on the wiki.

I am unbelievably happy to see that there now exists a list of blog posts indexed by date!

Thank you everyone on ERE Wiki for making this and thank you Jacob for the awesome blog!

(It has probably been there for a while, but there is still a first time for everyone.)

@jacob - oh the shame, no blog post since 2015?

Thanks for the list though!

Honestly I'm skeptical about the SEO benefits of re-posting the same blog posts over and over in random order. Also highly informative comments will end up spread out across multiple pages for the exact same blog post, which probably isn't ideal.

Perhaps it would be better to keep one copy of each blog post and just de-emphasize the date on the front page, especially for any of the "classic" posts. But I understand not wanting to spend the time to make these kinds of changes because it could end up taking a lot of time wrangling with your wordpress setup. Idea: could test out a different platform like https://ghost.org , could easily export your articles over.

I have read through the site front to back more than once. All you have to do is go to the older entries and you'll see something like this:

http://earlyretirementextreme.com/page/1

just change 1 to the max number you can find. Currently it's

http://earlyretirementextreme.com/page/338

That will take you to the first and then you can work for your way forward. Really enjoyable to read in that order.

Now that my body has shifted back to overnights, on my days off I tend to get bored late at night. I started reading them in order. So far the things that are most striking to me are:

1)So many of @jacobs posts ended up getting literally ripped off by MMM. I'm not sure if these guys had some kind of arrangement, but since I had read MMM from start to finish before I ended up an ERE'er, it's really noticeable.

2)It's fun to see @jacob's evolution in thinking from 2007-8 to today.

3)It's super fun to read comments from people who are still active in the forum. I've noticed @bigato, @GTOO and @JP from the very beginning.
