Let me at it, I've been patient for a while. Someone who has it just laying around, post it to paperbackswap, I'll do the same once I'm done.
Remember, we only rent our possessions :P

I only give away paperbackswap/bookmooch books that are selling used on Amazon for less than $4...
I have several hundred books waitlisted on both sites. Majority of which sell used near the new price (see Jacob's theory of book value post from Rules of Real Estate blog post)... I get about 1 a year.
Considering the priorities of a ERE reader, you might be in for a long wait! ;)

I think it's worth buying... it'll cost, what, 1-2 hours of your time?

I requested it from the library a couple weeks after it came out and haven't ever heard back. Checking the database now reveals no results.
You'd think they would fill my request (I'm a student at university) but no luck so far.
I could buy it, but I have pbs credits so ...

Does anyone have the e-book? According to Amazon, someone who has bought the e-book can lend it for 14 days, and the recipient can read it using the PC e-reader (they need not own a Kindle).

Edit: I originally asked if it was lendable, but then I checked on Amazon and saw that lending is enabled.

If anyone would be generous, I would be interested in reading it in any form I can get it.
I'm serious about this frugality thing, more out of requirement than ERE goals

Check lendle.com, it might already be available.

The site you gave is just a placeholder site saying it's for sale.

I just checked, and it is indeed available on lendle.me (not .com)
And by available, I mean two users own it. I've never used the site, so I'm not sure if there are any additional hoops.

I don't click on ads, there's not been any referrals that interest me, I don't really dig donations, but damnit, I'll buy a book by the guy whose blog I read for 2 years.

While it may seem like I'm leeching information (in a way I am), I didn't start this thread with any intention of snubbing Jacob and the work he has put into both this site and the book.
Please remember everyone's financial situation is different, and at the moment, $14(+shipping) is not an insignificant amount to me. If my finances were different, I would have no problem thanking Jacob monetarily. I am grateful that someone offered to lend me the book already. I will read it and absorb it now, and if I want it as a reference later (I have a feeling I will as I often go back to blog posts), I will definitely give Jacob a book sale when I can.
Edit: I have the book now! It got loaned to me and whoever has the power to may feel free to delete this thread.

That said, THANK YOU Jacob for sharing your outlook on finances and life, and while we may be faceless people a thousand miles away to you, your words have the power to change lives with the right amount of motivation. You have definitely been a strong source of inspiration to me as I have never received financial advice outside of the internet.

I am number 7 in line at paperbackswap now. I already bought the book, so I guess I should take it off my list. Though it might be good to have a to give as a gift when I run across someone who might enjoy it.

Anyone out there with an unwanted ERE book? Send it to PBS and get this line moving again. Interesting, I see the ERE book is also on Jacob's wish list with a wish date of 6/8/2011! (@Jacob - what's your position in line?) So those at the front of the line have been waiting at least 6 and half years...

I bought it and absorbed it years ago, kept it for a while. Gave it to my daughter, along with other money books, when I moved. The little stinker didn't read it before she donated it to a second-hand place. Hopefully, someone found this gem and got the same great info out of it that I did. Never know, maybe I'll come across it again, will be a keeper. :)
