(*) Not metal, vinyl?
vinyl should behave decently with added rigidity over nylon.

That pic looks like it should be in the Polyamory thread.

not to add more innuendo or anything but future iterations could replace the cardboard tube with... wood :P

I just watched this today, Jacob mentions he doesn't really have anything against index funds, but seems like he doesn't really use them? How do you invest?

https://www.amazon.com/Mastering-Market ... 328479250/ is the closest description that I have found to how I invest. It fits how I otherwise think about the world.

Interesting, so predicting market cycles, possibly picking certain sectors/ stocks? Has it worked well/ outperformed the market/index?

So it's been a year since you last asked. Have you read the book yet?

I read the summary, the book seemed likely to be one of those ones that should be a lot shorter (a lot of repetition).

One of the reason @Jacob doesn't engage much anymore on topics like climate change and investing is that there has been an ongoing pattern of members not willing to read the books he recommends to understand these topics on a deeper level. :D

He's mentioned a few times, possibly in the interview with the mad fientist, that he isn't necessarily trying to outperform the market. He's playing a different game at this point.
