It is done!

Go to https://buy.bookfunnel.com/zvjq7i422n to get it.

This channel cuts out a lot of the middlemen so the price will be $10 for at least the first week until distribution expands.

Just bought it. I like how you dealt with the math and graphs by adding them as a separate pdf. By the way, will the audiobook at some point also become available in some DRM-free format? I wonder what happens if the BookFunnel company goes defunct.

My guess is that it's the equivalent of what happens if you set fire to your paperback, break a CD, or amazon goes bankrupt---the particular copy is lost. In such a case, the publisher would very likely republish it elsewhere. Locally, the downloaded version would likely persist although I don't know if the app remains functional. I can ask the publisher?

No DRM-free releases are planned.

I wonder if the narrator's life has changed after this gig.

Ha! Good question ... I know that some of the crew on the "Playing with FIRE" doc subsequently talked about "getting their shit together".

I'd appreciate it! I like the narration so far, a pleasant voice. By the way, I thought I hear some sentences phrased differently. Did you update any material for this release or is my memory deceiving me?

Ha, I was wondering the same thing. I don't know how many 'takes' you usually need for an ebook, but I can imagine he has become very familiar with the contents.

I've asked.

Some parts have been rewritten to make it more listenable. (I don't want to say "readable", because visually it reads just fine in my opinion; but for sure it would have been a struggle to read parts of it aloud in its original form.)

Hahaha, sorry this is going to be a tangent matter: DW came to the part about running a marathon in more than 4h not being much of an achievement, and she ran hers in 5h so now she is nearly offended (half jokingly, she gets the point, but it was a personal thing for her running that marathon).

I vaguely remember this particular point from the book being discussed somewhere on the forum - anyone has a link handy?

Got my copy.

I did not buy the Extreme Early Retirement audiobook, also available on Audible. Some shameless typo-squatting happening there.

Yeah, the Extreme Early Retirement is someone else. They also have a book that came out in 2015. When I started in 2007, I wanted to call my blog extreme early retirement, but the URL was taken. It's since been on and off.

This would be a great option for me because while I read very well information just seems to stick in my brain sooo much better when I hear it.

I am looking at the bookfunnel site and it talks about listening to the book on a phone, but all I have is this PC here. If I buy the audio version of the book, can I listen to it on my PC (and assuming the answer is "yes") how?

@Myakka- Download the Audible app on your computer. You can listen through there if you purchase on Amazon. I imagine the other route just gives you an MP3 which you can play wherever you listen to music.

@theanimal, Myakka: the bookfunnel version works only through the app (as far as I can tell). There are no mp3 files available.

I see. Then in that case just download the bookfunnel app on your computer.

He suggests getting it via audible.
