I think this guy might just be onto something. We wake up, go to work, commute home, sleep and repeat the next day. This guy travels, has fun daily, and even has a hot chic in the background of one of his pics.
This guy will live more in one year than most people will in 80.

Yep, he has a bog called A Restless Transplant and he seems to have a number of wandering/car-living/outdoor-sleeping friends

Also, it looks like they're building some kind of commune or ERE city up in the rural PNW. There are a lot more pictures of it here: http://thecindercone.com/
They've build a serious treehouse, a lookout platorm in the trees, a big skateboard pool thing, a wood-fire heated hot tub, a goat pen, and a least a couple other small buildings.

I quit my job and lived in a van for 8 months (apart from a month in Thailand). I travelled Australia with my girl, and married her in Darwin. When I say I quit my job I mean I threw in a career I had been working on for almost 20 years. My salary this financial year is about 1/26th what it was last year.
Should have done it years ago.
I was 38.
(Just back out of van for 3 weeks - it's weird. I have a whole new appreciation of space).

Since he is in my neck of the woods I might just see if can take a drive down one weekend and checkout his lifestyle first hand. There are a surprising number of people that live this way, especially in the Seattle area. Grungy...
