I'm gonna pop some tags
Only got twenty dollars in my pocket
I - I - I'm hunting, looking for a come-up
This is fucking awesome
I wear your granddad's clothes
I look incredible
I'm in this big ass coat
From that thrift shop down the road
I wear your granddad's clothes (damn right)
I look incredible (now come on man)
I'm in this big ass coat (big ass coat)
From that thrift shop down the road (let's go)
And I am reminded that I am the sort of person that almost never pays attention to lyrics. :/ (like even some of my favourite songs I don't know the lyrics or what it's "about"). For threads like these I feel like there may be a few songs applicable and then I have to google the lyrics to confirm or not.. e.g. The Replacements - Androgynous, "Shake Em Loose Tonight" by Rumspringa, and Benji Hughes - Neighbor Down The Hall don't quite work even though my first instinct ..Smashter wrote: The links starts at Homeboy Sandman's verse, which is fantastic.

I would have to say this is the Rush song for the early retiree ! https://youtu.be/S_RlN00aGKQSF wrote:This song might be the ERE anthem (or at least sung at meetings):
Rush - Working Man
I get up at seven, yeah,
and I go to work at nine.
I got no time for livin'.
Yes, I'm workin' all the time.
It seems to me
I could live my life
a lot better than I think I am.
...
And if you like hard rock take a listen

Personally, I like the Rush from the 80s and 90s better (my formidable years), but the simple lyrics to this song has puzzled, then enlightened me.
Yes many wasted years in the public school system and everything after the 4th grade was a complete waste of time for me and only prolonged my retirement. Thats why I started this Blog on Facebook to maybe help your kids that have no direction retire way faster than normal please feel free to like, share, and invite all of your frinds to it. So understand,
Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years,
Face up, make your stand,
And realize you're living in the golden years
(Scream for me, ERE forum!!!)
