This is the song I'm going to sing when I quit my job! Can't wait!

This song is in French, but very ERE.

Everytime I hear this song I think of a consumerist spouse and an ERE spouse singing about each other.

My baby's got some trouble
Ya know he's not himself
Oh, he's walking through the rubble
Of what he brought himself
Brought on himself, he says

I can't seem to do what you do (what you do)
You know it's hard for me
And I can't seem to change

So now my baby's tryin' to fix it
He'd do it all himself
But it's harder than he thinks it is
And he may need some help
Might need, might need some help, he says

I can't seem to do what you do (what you do)
You know it's hard for me
And I can't see, it's you what you do (what you do)
Oh and it's not what you say
I can't seem to do what you do (what you do)
You know it's hard for me
And I can't seem to change

My baby's got a lover
Ya know he loves instead
Oh you, you just don't know what you do to me babe

Oh you're losin' me babe
Every time you say

I can't seem to do what you do (what you do)
You know it's hard for me
Well I can't see, it's you what you do (what you do)
Oh and it's not what you say
I can't seem to do what you do (what you do)
You know it's hard for me
And I can't seem to change
Can't change, I can't change
I can't seem to change
I just can't change
And I can't seem to...

Baby baby baby
Time to settle the score
Cause if you're not gonna change
You better walk out the door
Baby baby baby
Time to settle the score
Cause if you're not gonna change
I don't need you no more

See there is a difference here
You hustling so that you can be seen
I'm grinding so that I can disappear

I'm surprised this one hasn't made the list yet. ;)
I'm gonna pop some tags
Only got twenty dollars in my pocket
I - I - I'm hunting, looking for a come-up
This is fucking awesome

I wear your granddad's clothes
I look incredible
I'm in this big ass coat
From that thrift shop down the road
I wear your granddad's clothes (damn right)
I look incredible (now come on man)
I'm in this big ass coat (big ass coat)
From that thrift shop down the road (let's go)

Until the Ribbon Breaks ft. Homeboy Sandman - Perspective
https://youtu.be/sLX_Y0bkaDc?t=2m18s

The links starts at Homeboy Sandman's verse, which is fantastic.

"Life's a blessing, everyone is more than blessed enough
Unless you're jealous of someone else's stuff
Which of course makes you a sucker."

And I am reminded that I am the sort of person that almost never pays attention to lyrics. :/ (like even some of my favourite songs I don't know the lyrics or what it's "about"). For threads like these I feel like there may be a few songs applicable and then I have to google the lyrics to confirm or not.. e.g. The Replacements - Androgynous, "Shake Em Loose Tonight" by Rumspringa, and Benji Hughes - Neighbor Down The Hall don't quite work even though my first instinct ..

No surprise this single was critically acclaimed but a commercial failure.

Subdivisions
Rush
Sprawling on the fringes of the city
In geometric order
An insulated border
In-between the bright lights
And the far, unlit unknown
Growing up, it all seems so one-sided
Opinions all provided
The future pre-decided
Detached and subdivided
In the mass-production zone
Nowhere is the dreamer
Or the misfit so alone
Subdivisions
In the high school halls
In the shopping malls
Conform or be cast out
Subdivisions
In the basement bars
In the backs of cars
Be cool or be cast out
Any escape might help to smooth
The unattractive truth
But the suburbs have no charms to soothe
The restless dreams of youth
Drawn like moths, we drift into the city
The timeless old attraction
Cruising for the action
Lit up like a firefly
Just to feel the living night
Some will sell their dreams for small desires
Or lose the race to rats
Get caught in ticking traps
And start to dream of somewhere
To relax their restless flight
Somewhere out of a memory
Of lighted streets on quiet nights
Subdivisions
In the high school halls
In the shopping malls
Conform or be cast out
Subdivisions
In the basement bars
In the backs of cars
Be cool or be cast out
Any escape might help to smooth
The unattractive truth
But the suburbs have no charms to soothe
The restless dreams of youth

Rush - Working Man

I get up at seven, yeah,

and I go to work at nine.

I got no time for livin'.

Yes, I'm workin' all the time.
It seems to me

I could live my life

a lot better than I think I am.

And if you like hard rock take a listen

Personally, I like the Rush from the 80s and 90s better (my formidable years), but the simple lyrics to this song has puzzled, then enlightened me.
I would have to say this is the Rush song for the early retiree ! https://youtu.be/S_RlN00aGKQ

So understand,

Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years,

Face up, make your stand,

And realize you're living in the golden years
(Scream for me, ERE forum!!!)
Yes many wasted years in the public school system and everything after the 4th grade was a complete waste of time for me and only prolonged my retirement. Thats why I started this Blog on Facebook to maybe help your kids that have no direction retire way faster than normal please feel free to like, share, and invite all of your frinds to it. Thanks
