Hmm. Tried making my own sourdough bread. The smell of sourdough is awful. They say it should be sour, but for me it is more like stool :lol: ;(
Achieving right consistiency was also difficult. I made stones, not bread.

I thought the first picture was of a stone! But I like sourdough, smell included.

whole wheat breads baked when I was in US. Over a period of time, it had become a weekend affair to bake breads for the busy work week breakfasts. These are the NYT no knead recipe with as much as seeds and nuts added since I am vegan. Nothing special or extra added. The Lodge Cast Iron Combo Cooker came to be one worthy investment which served itself for what I paid for it.
