@B and @jacob - I broke up with my girlfriend at the time when I first got into the blog. I'd stay up for hours after she went to bed to read and break down concepts. She didn't understand why it was so important to me and thought I'd end up boring. I ended up being bored of her...
Luckily my current flame has been very supportive in the lifestyle I've chosen for myself. It's refreshing.

I found cupid through cheapism.com. It is great if you are looking for a facebook/hotornot.com way of meeting people. It is truly wonderful if you don't think much. My short experience learned that (for most) you mention you don't want kids and women are not interested because that is why most of them are on cupid. The remainder seem to fit my descriptions above or are bi...but that was just my experience:)

Well, if there was an ERE dating site, at least I think there would be fewer married people pretending to be single here than on mainstream sites. Most are chock full of married men pretending to be single executives, looking for "fun". Ugh.
So if there are any single Scandinavian guys here searching for a frugal American lady with smooth caramel skin...

@Monsternaka: I can relate... I'm close to the bay area as well, but didn't really connect with people in the area, and I ended up with my current girlfriend in my home state of Texas. You'll find some interesting people in Austin... I've enjoyed that city every time I've been, and there has been more than one occasion where I've considered moving there.

Haha! I have heard that Norwegian guys are a bit more macho than the rest of the Nordic countries, but I've no experience to confirm or deny that stereotype.
I did have a Danish boyfriend at one point and he was more feminist than me by a good amount! Any other Danes on here? Pics and stats, please!

@learning - I'll see if I can find some plugins to do just that. I think I saw some way of PM'ing. I'm more concerned about the additional profile entries since that would affect the SQL database (I'm not about to mess around with that). Keep reminding me.
@northman - LOL Have you seen this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-mOy8VUEBk and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eng5rJm9X7w

@jacob - Fab. Communication is complex: I see your 'uti vår hage' and raise you 'two ronnies'.

@jacob instead of changing the number of fields, maybe just let people know that they could include relevant information in the existing fields, such as "dating other EREers" in the "Interests" field. Repurpose the existing fields for people who want to do this. People could also include socially relevant information in their introductory posts, in addition to ERE information. Since the introductory posts are usually among the first posts, it's easy to find them on somebody's profile. Or, people could start a separate thread for that. Anyway, a few ideas.
Just thought I would put my input on this topic.
Most likely, there won't be enough people to support an ERE-related website. However, what could be good is to incorporate ERE within what I would call a "lifestyle" dating website. Such a website would basically filter people on lifestyle choices instead of looking for the usual height, hair color, eyes color, weight and other superficial things that don't mean nothing in the long term.
Basically, subscribers could adhere to lifestyles that suit them, which would then pop additional questions related to that lifestyle to allow viewers to know that person better in regards to that lifestyle, as well as a text box to add more info as well. This would help promote dating with people that you should have long-term affinities with, and not only short-related hormone rushes.
In any case, with the amount of ways people live their lives, assuming one want to spend a good amount of time searching different lifestyles and relevant questions for each of them, such a website could be fairly successful, especially if geared toward a serious dating clientele.
Anyway, that was a pretty long first post here... If anyone wants to pick up on that idea, give me a shout!
