Cheaping international shipping options?

I'm needing a bike here in Spain and prefer my folding Brompton. I could buy a used one here for ~€600 or have a buddy ship my Brompton back in the US here. Trying to think this through and see what the best option is. Any thoughts on good international shipping options?
