I just stumbled across this post today.
Yeah, Greer is fantastic though he plays the short-term prediction game too much for his own good. Retrotopia does not suffer from any of that, however, and is indeed a great piece of recommended reading for resilience-minded folk.

Retrotopia was great stuff. I got my library to order Star's Reach, which was quite entertaining too.
