Not sure if it has been recommended already. I watched this video yesterday and I thought that it was very inspiring and relaxing.
The guy also has a website and plenty of more videos.

Very nice. I added it to my Men Using Their Biceps To Make Things folder.

"One man leaves the city life behind to build a cheap off grid log cabin and homestead in the Canadian wilderness, including a log home, an outdoor kitchen, an outhouse, a woodshed and a sauna bathhouse. Building mostly with hand tools, Shawn James harvests building materials from the forests north of Toronto, Canada and crafts them into functional tools and shelters using traditional woodworking tools and methods..."

Same guy I was talking about above. Selfreliance. He has amazing videos, very nice quality videos and wonderful landscape!
Apparently, he RE, doesn't get to explain his story though...

Shawn James, who does the
My Self Reliance YouTube channel that revolves around building a cabin in the woods, also has a personal channel. On it, he touches on some ERE type stuff in his
Path to Self Reliance playlist.
The second link is to Shawn's personal account and the playlist where he discusses his journey and ERE-related thoughts.

Charlie Munger interview, interesting throughout. Talks about American and European politics, immigration, investing, BH, architecture, healthcare, Singapore, and China. Here's an EREy bit about China:
Munger: Who would have guessed the Chinese Communists would have improved their big country as much as they have in the last 30 years?
Interviewer: Did that surprise you?
Munger: Well, they didn't the first 20 years. They had the Cultural Revolution. It was crazy. And now they have one of the greatest success records in the history of mankind. I don't know about you, but I did not predict it.
Interviewer: So what is the secret to China's success?
Munger: They copied Singapore. Remember, the Chinese leader said I don't care whether the cat is black or white, I just care that it catches mice. And they copied a very wonderful, famous Chinese man in Singapore, and lo and behold, they found the right Chinese leadership outside China, which amuses me. But he was Chinese. Look at the way it worked, in the whole history of the world, no nation that big has advanced that fast. And they did it by having a bunch of poor people save half their income. They didn't use the wealth of the rich world to get ahead, they used the savings of poor people. I am a huge admirer of what the Chinese have accomplished. And if you ask me who is the one man who did the most for China, it was Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore. They copied him.

This is a super starting out video, one to share with DS14 as it is succinct. The last part of just quitting at enough hits home with me as I struggle with that part of the ERE lifestyle.

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but here's a really fascinating interview of Chamath Palihapitiya, who's the found of Social Capital. He has a super interesting and frank conversation about his pursuit of capital inside of capitalism and how he pursues money for social change:

This guy is awesome. Even more entertaining than the Applied Science dude. He is almost certainty an ENTJ given that Te dominates all his videos along with Ni-like understanding/recall/purpose (..and too smooth at presentation to be an INTJ).

Focuses on repairing and/or reusing or improving items purchased as scrap from junkyard. I linked to one video that has a good beginning to setting the tone. Has other videos besides repair.

Woah... That is really interesting on a number of levels. The aspect of the person spending their time after retirement to move this forward and then turning it into a business is interesting. The idea itself is really cool -- I'd seen this for heating in New Mexico with the earth ships but I'd read they don't work so well in the upper midwest (USA) climate. But they don't use the tubes underground. Very very cool. And the potential application as he points out to deliver local citrus in an area nobody grows citrus...

@SWB - Yea this was a sort of mind-blow video for me and got me dreaming again. His design can be much improved by have an earthen berm on the north wall. I just need some land!
He has a couple other videos on his youtube channel and in one he mentions it was about -1 F outside and was 38 F inside which is pretty impressive for nothing but cool ground air heating. According to his site he has had to have supplemental heating 3 times in the last 23 years....
