And another source of inspiration: music.

The Pretender is a good one, "stuck between the longing for love, and the struggle for the legal tender."
Here's a NIN song I think applies:

http://www.lyred.com/lyrics/Nine+Inch+N ... t+Belongs/

"See the safety of the life you have built,

Everything where it belongs

Feel the hollowness inside of your heart,

And it's all...right where it belongs"

"What if everything around you

Isn't quite as it seems

What if all the world you used to know

Is an elaborate dream."

A personal favorite of my favorite band:

Pearl Jam - Life Wasted

I just love the simple message and now it resonates with those that have seen the ugly side of the 40 year career of earn and spend, save 10-15% and retire at 65 or 70, and then escaped.
I have faced it,... A life wasted,...

I'm never going back again.
I escaped it,... A life wasted,...

I'm never going back again.
You're always saying that there's something wrong...

I'm starting to believe it's your plan all along...
Death came around, forced to hear it's song...

And know tomorrow can't be depended on.
I seen the home inside your head,...

All locked doors and unmade beds.

Open sores unattended

Let me say just once that
I have faced it,... A life wasted,...

I'm never going back again.
I escaped it,... A life wasted,...

I'm never going back again.
Having tasted,... A life wasted,...

I'm never going back again.
The world awaits just up the stairs

Leave the pain for someone else.
Nothing back there for you to find,...

Or was it you, you left behind?
You're always saying you're too weak to be strong...

You're harder on yourself than just about anyone.
Why swim the channel just to get this far?

Halfway there, why would you turn around?
Darkness comes in waves,... tell me,why invite it to stay?
You're warm with negativity,

Yes, comfort is an energy,...

But why let the sad song play?
I have faced it,... A life wasted,...

I'm never going back again.
I escaped it,... A life wasted,...

I'm never going back again.
Having tasted,... A life wasted,...

I'm never going back again.
Oh I erased it,... A life wasted,...

I'm never going back again.

I think this will probably resonate with a younger, more directionless crowd, but there are some ERE themes in the songs of this band:

http://www.myspace.com/pandacircus
Some lines from "Dropout Pt 1":

"Why don't you quit your job, man, and get to work?

Learn how to be an amateur; stop acting like you're smart.

Getting paid for hating life is far more trouble than it's worth."
"Breathing Fire" is also fun:

"So sit down, start taking notes, I'll show you how to live a life unchained."
Another good line:

"I'm free to pursue what I want but I don't want to want anymore."

Came across this song and video:
Mark Ronson & The Business Intl - The Bike Song
Made me think of this thread. Couldn't resist posting it. Quite catchy.

Society by Eddie Vedder from the Into the Wild soundtrack is pretty EREtastic
It's a mystery to me

We have a greed with which we have agreed

You think you have to want more than you need

Until you have it all you won't be free
Society, you're a crazy breed

I hope you're not lonely without me
When you want more than you have

You think you need

And when you think more than you want

Your thoughts begin to bleed
...
Society, have mercy on me

I hope you're not angry if I disagree

Society, crazy and deep

I hope you're not lonely without me

Set up your religion
Write your bible
Write your 10 commandments
Set up your political system

You get instructions on how to turn on the TV
You get tips on how to make love to a girl
They tell you how to spend your free time
Why? For what? You have your own reason!

Set up your religion
Write your bible
Write your 10 commandments
Set up your political system

You get guidance on how to smile gracefully
You get tips on how to eat with a fork
They tell you how and they tell you why
You are spoiling the cash - you will not understand anything

Set up your religion
Write your bible
Write your 10 commandments
Set up your political system

You must have it and you must buy it!

Arnold Schwarzenegger gets pregnant
Our paste rinses out the seals
Multi corporations cause wars
Politicians perform lynos

You must have it and you must buy it!

I sell hamburgers
You sell computers

He sells an amphora, an acid

Erotic movie USA!

You must have it and you must buy it!

Libertarian side:
(The author got almost pwned for his actions in the internet. He is big proponent of free market-overhumanism-antinatalism. In the verdict... it was stated that he can pay by himself... because as 33 years old he lives with the mother  [...] . He publishes in English too (mostly rehash of Ayn Rand, Rockwell, other hardccre free marketers) https://steemit.com/@kelthuzzar .

Where did the trade come from and where did the money come from?
Who invented justice?
Who protected the first private property
And who noticed the earning opportunity
Who recognized the inalienable rights?
Who has seen that man has free will?
Who developed law for many centuries?
Who was watching to plow the field?

No one has ever done it
There was not one thing that directed it
Millions and countless lives are needed
That social knowledge accumulates
We also need a mutual exchange network
That information could flow
That's why the market is, and private property
That the human species could develop

Human action - freedom of development
Human action - in freedom and peace
Human action - the highest axiom
Human action - in him a man will come true

Yes, that's right, here's the phenomenon
No human mind counts alone
But a few people in cooperation
It is able to make things impossible before
And a few hundred, thousands, and then millions?
For everyone's purpose, all working
The market coordinates their activities efficiently
Through the price system, without the chief of fodder

A surplus is created that can be saved
And then the possibilities open up new
Larger projects can be implemented
The so-called. investments are profitable
Human action raises the standard of living
Because everyone works to improve their condition
Thousands of years of activity have created a civilization
Which none of us will take away from us with the sword

Human action - free of coercion
Human action - more pluses than minuses
Human action - invisible hand
Human action - nobody kneels before anyone

When you hear politics again
That it is in your business to choose it
Know that he has not contributed to your happiness in anything
Because only capitalism and the market are tools
That people would create prosperity by cooperating
For yourself, for your children and your women
Politics is simply an art of interfering
Parasitization and robbing
Do not let yourself be persuaded that manna will fall from heaven
No politician works - he only steals
Only private business and entrepreneur
They make you have to put in your stomach every morning
Because people only need freedom
Protection from assault on private property
All the rest is the result of human action
For my own profit - I have nothing to add!
Automated translations- I haven't known this software can be so good  I haven't found them in "better" English.
I also want to receive golden shovel prize.
