Favorite Educational YouTube Channels?

Post by theanimal »

Some I like are

Wendover Productions -Focus mainly on logistics and transportation both global and regional
Caspian Report -Geopolitics
Kurzgesagt Explaining things in the universe. Science focused. Very well done.
3 Blue 1 Brown- Mathematics
School of Life Relationships, self care, soft skills

What are yours?

I like google talks because I am a lecture/podcast person. In general, many nonfiction authors would give talks promoting their books that then end up on youtube. Often, if there is a nonfiction book I'd like to read, looking up the author's name or the book title on youtube results in an interesting talk on the topic. Off the top of my head, this has worked for michael pollan, cathy o'neil, alain de botton of school of life, the sleep book guy, etc., and it definitely works if the book achieves bestseller status e.g. atomic habits.

Things we actually watch:

ABC News Live
All About RVs
ASLMeredith
Extra Credits (my son and I watch these together, we both love it)
LatinTutorial

We don't do a lot of watching. I have way more podcast subscriptions than YouTube subscriptions.

Religion for breakfast - religion from an academic, religious studies perspective.

Theres a few minimalist channels I follow but that's more light infotainment.
