Unfortunately, for most a big decision will be do you want to work longer at a job you like more for less pay or work shorter at a job you like less for more pay. You will want to figure out sooner rather than later which path you would prefer to take. I myself lean more towards make more money and be FI sooner and then do the things you enjoy more as the earlier you get the money the longer it can compound for meaning money earned early in life is simply worth more in the long run.

There is a small percentage of people that happen to be luck and happen to be really good at something they enjoy that is very monetizable and even then often doing something you enjoy as a job often makes said thing less enjoyable. If you happen to fall in this very small category than you'll have a great time and congrats.

Also the more flexible you are the more you are likely capable of earning. If you aren't willing to do a less enjoyable job and move far away from your current family and friends this will often reduce your income earning capability. If you are willing to study a field that is very in demand even if it is less enjoyable and are willing to leave everything behind and move to a place where you will get paid the most in relation to COL for said job then you can maximise your earnings.
