Re: Alternatives to a sports car

Similar affliction noted. Kevin W's ideas seem like good ones to have a respectable gasoline speed hobby. My "fast" may be a little different though.. Even when I owned sports cars and sport motorcycles, the adrenaline rush came not so much from straight line speed as breaking the limits of traction...

Re: Wedding rings/bands for men

I dislike jewelry and tattoos for myself. In this case The lesser of the evils is a small thin, non-ornamental black stripe hangs out under my own, thick finger hair. It was under a hundred bucks.

Re: Sweating the small stuff

Op: I really have to check myself, or I end up emotional eating. (I can pass the marshmallow test, but I have to study. :D ) When I can follow the warrior diet, it really zaps the bullshit. I think many people like us have tendencies such as these and some of us are so hardheaded  that it t...

Sports gambling in the United states is riskier / more rewardier. It's illegal, and you can lose or almost double your initial investment with each wager.

Re: m741's ERE Journal

@m741, to help combat my own such memory loss, I take and collect lots and lots of digital pictures of good moments. Reviewing photos is most always pleasant. Storage is cheap and they are worth a thousand words each. :D

Re: Introvert Headaches

I have dealt with social anxiety headaches for years. The headaches have worsened with age they morph into full blown light sensitive, nauseating, bedridden sickness if "pushed through" or ignored . Unfortunately there are few people that I can hang out with and not have these symptoms.

Re: sshawn's journal

Hi I saw a 249 lbs on the scale the other day! Some more of the story…… I am bipolar. My diagnosis and treatment has been unravelling the last 4-5 years. Part of why I have come here to say thanks so often is because ERE gave me some very important tools to deal with my life’s biggest challenge thus...

Re: Hi Everyone. Thank you so much. Here's my story.

I identify with some of the parts of your story. In particular your mention of pretending to be happy and the freeing feeling of losing your pride. I have come here to say thanks on occasion as well. Gratitude is good but if you were like me and never really "journaled" in any form what you wrote ab...

Re: sshawn's journal

The fitbit with myfitnesspal app gives one great feedback on their body. Think of it as a Mint account for your daily healthful living. When I consistently use the restful sleep tracking feature and log my food in MFP, there is a plethora of data and trends to sift through. The friends or community ...

Re: My First Options Trade

My favorite options tool would be to sell puts in a stock you really want to own at a price you really want to own it at, but your intrinsic value calculation has determined is trading at market too expensive. It's not a income-generating strategy though. For us crazy market timers  this may...
