Re: Fixit Log

I've never heard of thread locker on bb threads. The problem with the bb is getting it unstuck if anything. Ive never heard of one loosening up. Im sure has happened to someone but it has got to be very uncommon on standard, everyday bottom brackets (not press fit or the adjustable ones on some sin...

Re: the soybean processing and culture thread

It may be a function of Austrralia having expensive groceries. A litre of soymilk here is ~$2. hah! a litre here (a quart) of the best industrial soymilk (edensoy) is $4. i think your $2 is about $1.50 usd at close of currency markets today--you're the clear winner! Do it! I'd be interested to hear...

If I hear someone speaking French, I'm perceiving gibberish because I don't understand French. On the other hand, I also see other people who are able to communicate in French. This observation indicates that French is a real and practical language (unlike the random utterances from space aliens on...

I'd use grease on those parts. I thought boeshield was for fogging the inside of a frame or lubing the chain, depending on the type of boeshield you have. I am not a trained bike mechanic so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Same as Gilberto. I have cv joint grease that I use for everything lik...

These systems are also often unfalsifiable, as perceiving gibberish is just an indication that the individual hasn't leveled up enough to understand. or conversely that they are, in fact, gibberish--like that cod hegelian historicism presented above, from which i quote this glaring white supremacis...

Re: the soybean processing and culture thread

The soybeans were from a no-packaging store, and the overall cost per litre of homemade and store bought soymilk were the same. wow! this was unexpected. but congrats for getting it to work on first try. Overall good outcome, will be doing again. :D i look forward to reading your log/future updates...

It must be that pesky F in my INFP, but for me the emotion and the practical problem solving are two clearly defined parts of a problem and dealing with either in exclusion isn't effective. not to make you self-conscious or anything, but that's what makes you a good thinker and a good writer. you c...

Is it even cool to talk about somebody’s weight? depends. not with insecure people. also, there is the case as you describe that weight can be used to one-up people in competitive settings. as @ellerose was saying in her great little journal (just a few pages, quality stuff) a lot of people don't w...
