Re: Is Inequality Inevitable?

Evolution and nature show that gathering resources and concentrating them is not evil and considering how likely we are to die from asteroids or other extinction level events it could be said that no matter how immoral we may or may not be now so long as we advance towards terraforming and create pl...

Re: Facebook frugality tip factchecking

I gave a reply but I yes it's not popping up. My grandpa buy stuff in bulk when it goes on sale even if the food has gone bad sometimes. Does buying everything in bulk during tax season have some benefit I don't understand or what? I could see shopping once per month or every two months as something...

Facebook frugality tip factchecking

"With all the hysteria as I see in stores lately, I would like to share what I've been doing for the last 6 years. It might be for you, it might not. Everybody's situation is different. Yearly ( at tax season) I buy everything possibly needed for the entire year for a family of 4 with also 4 do...

Re: Raw, whole-food, plant-based diet?

It's actually kind of funny to me that it stresses you as I see it from a mechanical perspective where each of the diets has their own Merit, I just prefer the carnivore diet as the Keystone. Working out certainly does wonders for cardiovascular health have you heard about how working out increases ...

Re: Raw, whole-food, plant-based diet?

@steveo73 Congratulations the first thing of your mouth is an insult. Folks on the carnivore diet don't need to poop as often as you because meat is so easily absorbed that there isn't a worthwhile amount to defecate unless you're eating a larger amount. Fiber makes you poop more often and at the sa...

Re: Raw, whole-food, plant-based diet?

@Steveo73 While there may be some Merit to eating seeds I can't see it being healthy to eat them everyday. With regards to cherry picking I could be considered guilty of that if I only support studies that completely eliminate the other group of foods. Vegan or carnivore, anything in between is too ...

Re: Raw, whole-food, plant-based diet?

Slash and burn agriculture ... or hunting as it is in this case. Not exactly some forms of slash-and-burn agriculture can actually be regenerative as seen with the California natives and the like. Chop and drop is good and occasional controlled Burns is also good especially in fire-prone areas wher...

Re: Raw, whole-food, plant-based diet?

My advice to people on plant-based diets is to eat seafood or Critters that the person feels okay with eating be that bugs or non-fertilized eggs, fermented foods, fungi, to practice the Wim Hof method and a few other things I can't remember off the top of my head. Folks in the carnivore community ...

Re: Raw, whole-food, plant-based diet?

Let me rephrase that a carbohydrate based diet for weight lost would only be done via caloric restriction fasting or a medicinal short-term diet. The the Lake bit was autocorrect messing with me, what I was trying to say was that grains in their conventional form are usually not good for you. For th...

Re: Raw, whole-food, plant-based diet?

A carbohydrate based diet would only work via caloric restriction which is really harmful to your health, the Wim Hof method or if you can keto diet might do the job but you're better off going on normal keto diet or a carnivore diet as those are actually ketosis based diets and the Wim Hof method r...

Re: Raw, whole-food, plant-based diet?

@Fiby41 How does eating retired dairy cows sound if they are raised. Via permaculture and allan savory without any of the issues you would consider as the cows being hurt aside from trying to get the cows to breed more often naturally, potential complications during childbirth, and the short of time...

Re: Raw, whole-food, plant-based diet?

I would recommend a whole foods semi raw carnivore diet where in you try to eat the organs raw rather than the meat though im fairly sure that if you eat the meat raw malnutrition wont pop up regardless but if you cook it youll be able to get a few more calories out of your dollar

Re: extremely frugal vegan keto, keto, and carnivore diets

I don't want to derail this thread but; This is only true if you ignore the fact that marginal land can often be improved, it's often considered marginal because it was misused and abused by earlier generations, or because it's not suitable for industrial agriculture's extractive methods. Small hol...

Re: extremely frugal vegan keto, keto, and carnivore diets

Simi rural Oregon townie here, I've worked on farms for 2 summers moving irrigation pipes, planting, and harvesting stuff. My grampa owns a ranch where I help set up the irrigation pump, clear black berries, clear the understory of the woods to reduce/wild fires and such. I currently work in the woo...
