Re: Naval Ravikant on retirement and other topics

Covering basic needs to be able to transform yourself is very reminiscent of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.

Re: Reaching Kegan Level 4

If the subconscious of the Kegan5 is a dialectic between ideologies, then wouldn't this be the consciousness of the Kegan6? Where maybe the subconscious is an ideology for determining the best ideology to span the space. +1 for speculation

Re: Reaching Kegan Level 4

It always comes back to the grind, I just gotta do it. Though laying out what exactly to do will decrease number of hours required, so thank you all very much! This has always been my reason for doing drugs, to alter perspective so that I can have more experiences to work from and to keep me from ge...

Re: Science and the Nervous System

What is the current level of entropy compared to maximum entropy? I am one or two Wheaton levels below the holographic principle in physics. I am trying to build up my understanding to that point from the ground up, all I got to today was confirming what I thought was space is space, haha not even t...

Beginning to Look into the 4 temperaments introduced in Please understand me 1 & 2 suggested above, I wonder if there is some connection to the 4 temperaments that 7wannabe5 talked about in the 9to5 thread. 4 temperaments from "Please Understand Me": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keirsey_Temperament...

I wouldn't say the Gazelle gives off the best first impression, do you want to be a herd animal? Not that it matters. I'm a "Beetle man" from 1984.

Re: Science and the Nervous System

The composition of a human is analogous to the composition of the globalized world, but are humans fractals of the globalized world? Perhaps only in one or two "superpositions", or not.

Re: We're doomed. What is the answer?

I like your vision Daylen, it makes me laugh. Yes that's a problem 7Wannabe5. In most scenarios one must play the system, essentially buying into it, just enough to be able to effectively pull out of it. If I am to acquire land this almost has to be the way it goes down, and its the path I have chos...

Re: We're doomed. What is the answer?

I accept my death and the death of human kind, but what I am trying to do is think of a way to make our lives better while were alive. I think this is worth doing even if the chance success is low. David Fleming seems to have the same optimism that I am trying to work off of. Maybe I'll start a reli...

We're doomed. What is the answer?

I think that the consensus on this forum is that the fate of society is doomed. Doomed in that society as we know it will collapse due to global temperature increase as the primary concern if not something else such as national debt, or nukes, or whatever. If this is the case, then what is the solut...

Re: A Model of Cognition

Your depiction of my tendencies is better. Maybe it depends on the combination of the primarily used* traits that determines the relationship among traits. Based on your picture I see many possible inter-trait relationships, but I don't know how to tell which are true or which are valuable, or if it...

Above is an attempt to represent myself with this language and the big 5.

Your micro-actions seem similar to the cognitive functions in the mbti system. Maybe I will try to define one of those personality types with them.

You are entertaining me and I like where this is going, I am beginning to see utility! I think keeping up the spewing is the right idea. Re: How to cut back on food spending

I am not opposed to spending more for organic food. I believe doing so is less or equally as expensive in the long run because of negative health impact of non-organic foods and associated medical bills. Maybe I am exaggerating the negatives of non-organic food, but I think this is worth researching...
