Me, too. The only training I did for the ride was biking to and from the music store where I taught. 40 miles round trip, and I could bump it up to 60 by taking the scenic route. A bit late, but did you try couchsurfing (the website)? I've had a lot of luck with it in the past, particularly in Chicago... it's tough in small towns though. Also, what style of music do you play?
