I was unclear, I mean't the math in the Bodie book, McConnell math hasn't gone above multiplication and division.
And both. First half is macro, second half is getting into micro.

Re: Investing, Finance and Economics 2021 Study Group
This was tried about a year ago, don't think it got much traction. I'm finishing McConnell first, and I don't think I could keep up with the 2 week schedule seeing as it looks like I'll need to teach myself a bunch of math to complete this, but I might pop in here when I get it started.

Re: I Saved Some Money, Accumulated So Good
@basuragomi, I haven't given much thought to the WoG concept outside my surface understanding of finding mutually reinforcing endeavors. How to tie my social life into that? I'd be lying if I said I had any clue. No shop. I work on a fold-out table in the carport. Very limited capacity which is a dr...

Re: Anticonsumerist's Journal
@Mathiverse, Spent on investing specifically so far? None outside pop-investor books like RWDWS or The Intelligent Investor or The Four Pillars of Investing and a bunch of others. Bodie will be the first to delve into the nitty-gritty after I finish Econ 101. I don't think I have an upper limit of h...

Re: Anticonsumerist's Journal
Jacob, (I don't want to hi-jack anticonsumerist's new journal, if you feel it's more appropriate to move this to my journal feel free) I'm currently 2/3 through McConnell and Bodie is next. I think it's unrealistic for me to get through all 8 of them (at least in one go), but at least half is defini...

- We got a $5 immersion blender and I made hummus for the first time. Surprisingly easy and now I don't think I'll ever buy hummus again. Roast a bell pepper or two and put that shit in there, delicious! I don't know what recipe you followed, but I eventually dropped tahini from my hummuses. It's b...

This calculator doesn't really do the same thing you just did, but it does present the information on a calendar, therefore on a by day basis, which I appreciate.

Re: Jiimmy's Charts
Welcome Jimmy! Those are some nice looking charts. They're almost giving me enough motivation to whip a few up myself since I've always been too lazy to. I like the NW/Lifetime Earnings ratio, that's a fun little number to track that I haven't seen used much, if at all. Would you care to elaborate o...

December Spending I’m not going to break it all down like normal. Total spending was $886.11. The were no unexpected or costly necessary expenses this month and I would have come in closer to $650, but I bought a couple nice gifts, a bunch of fancy chocolate from the local fancy chocolate maker, an...

Like yourself, I also have a close relationship with my parents and my brother. I consider myself fortunate in that regard and what you're having to go through seems a worst nightmare scenario. Wishing you strength and peace in this arduous chapter, 2020 can indeed suck a dick.

- Dinging the "I quit" bell probably closes my career Why would that be the case? From the way you write about your role at your company it seems that you're a critical asset, and with your amount of experience what would prevent you from acquiring another job in the future? I don't think...

Good job on the running and cycling and getting a running partner! Pretty impressive numbers.
