Best CBD for a pet?

Hi all, Long story short, I rescued a German Shepherd a few years back (he was 3 at the time)- He was chained to a fence prior and neglected. Had bad mange, chronic yeast, and acute arthritis. Fast forward 4 years- He's been on medication since and his arthritis is getting much worse. He's been on m...

Re: Best affordable workout bench?

With all that said - your are already using benches someone else has sweated on at the gym. Someone's home equipment could be hardly used. I wouldn't totally rule out buying that way. There's a big advantage to seeing the bench in person and trying it for your personal preferences. Excellent point....

Best affordable workout bench?

Hi all, I normally do/try to buy everything used. But the idea of buying someone's sweat filled workout bench grosses me out. Rather just buy a new affordable one that I know isn't used. So with that, have any of you bought one on amazon or similar site that you're happy with? Want to buy an adjusta...

"Eat to Live" by Dr. Fuhrman. Convinced me to eat healthy permanently, not just a fad or diet. "The Road to Serfdom" by FA Hayek. Central planning doesn't work. "Ron Paul, the Revolution" By Congressman Ron Paul. What the founders envisioned for government in America. &...

Re: The easiest eating routine?

I just finished reading "eat to live" by Dr. Fuhrman. 10/10 book. He recommends a 99.9% vegetarian diet with either vitamins to make up for b12 deficiencies or very little meat. Like chicken or salmon as salmon at least has some of the lowest mercury levels compared to other seafoods. So 1...

Re: Do people just give up after 25?

Completely this. 100%. I think at a certain age, everyone starts thinking about what their life is shaping up to be and the main difference is that some do something about it and others just accept it and keep doing the same thing. When you're in your early 20's- you're focused on college (if you w...

Most ERE Friendly State(s)

As far as tax liability goes? (Sorry if this has been posted, looked and didn't see anything) I live in NJ, which is a tax hell-hole. For example, I have a 1,000 sq ft- 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house. Bought for $170K which isn't horrible, with a property tax liability north of $7800 a year (yes you rea...

Re: Do people just give up after 25?

I don't know if I'm crazy here or not, but it seems like people kinda....give up after a certain age? Almost like they're dead inside or something...no longer curious, not taking care of their bodies, no longer interested in their own goals, etc. It's kinda sad! Have you noticed this phenomenon? I ...

Re: Poll: What kind of watch do you own?

I own a simple fossil watch (got it as a gift). It's a $50 watch. People always comment how nice it is, I think they think it's expensive at a glance lol. It's been about two years, no maintenance yet.

Re: Small Leak from Toilet- DIY?

Before trying to replace the wax ring check the water supply line to the tank. This is the usual cause for this type of leak. It may only show up when you flush several times. yeah it was bizarre- before attempting to fix it I checked the floor which was completely dry, then flushed- and nothing. C...

Re: Small Leak from Toilet- DIY?

Thanks! Oddly- I came home and there's no leak. Flushed it too. Nothing. Wife checked it during her lunch break and no water either. I have no clue what happened. Perhaps it's an extremely slow leak. I'll check again in the am. Thanks for the responses!

Small Leak from Toilet- DIY?

Hi all, Hope this is the right place for this. This morning when I woke up, after I went to the bathroom in my spare bathroom I looked down and saw a bit of water on the floor as it appeared to come from the base of the toilet. I checked the base of the toilet for leaks/cracks and did not see anythi...

Re: The easiest eating routine?

Well I pretty much do exactly what you don't want to do. I meal prep on Sunday, generally made in my instant pot, to make food for Monday through Fridays that way all I have to do after work for those days are pop my meal in the microwave and reheat it. Saturday and Sunday I generally make my food ...

The easiest eating routine?

Hey All, Apologies if this is redundant, didn't find a thread that covered this specifically. So I'm 31, relatively healthy and in good shape- play ice hockey on the weekends, workout during the week, but I haven't always ate as healthy as I should. No candy or sweets as I don't have a sweet tooth b...

Re: Recommended Gardening Book?

I agree that square foot gardening is a great beginner's method. Mel Bartholomew is popular author and advocate. Sort of the gardening equivalent to practicing your scales when you learn to play piano. It is the first successful method I used. Success is definitely what you want when you first gard...

Given that space, go for squarefoot gardening (there are a number of books).
Thanks! I have plenty more room, but also want to make sure I don't go over my head my first time around. I will check them out.
