Re: Cooking with pressure cookers - Expanded beyond beans
Can vouch for an instant pot. It cooks cheaper cuts of meat very well - and with the extra rendered down fat - tends to taste better than leaner cuts! Great for roasted meat on its own, and liquid type thinks like curry etc.

These are the things I'd tell myself: * Sleep gets better. Everything else gets harder lol * Four parenting styles: Authoritative * Baby-lead weaning * Forecast yourself when they are 5yr+, looking back, and possibly regretting not spending enough time (you'll never spend enough time!) then work bac...

Re: Cable management - Science or art?
What, specifically is the problem here? Or are you actually trying to solve a problem that doesn't really exist? In the case of a server room with hundreds of servers and thousands of cat5 and fibre cables, good cable management makes sense. For smaller projects, personally I find it typically unnec...

It sounds like you're crafting some nice flexibility into your job role and day - That's great!
Do you have a mid- and long-term plan for work? Or are you happy maintaining where you're at?

It's a bit different here in the UK I think. Because the weather is normally crap, we're used to it. In fact, I quite like when it's a bit colder, a bit darker - It seems to slow me down a bit, in a good way! We have thought/dreamt about buying a holiday home in Spain, but quickly drop into the thou...

Re: Sugar - Health and Behavioral Questions.
Thanks for the info about fructose, that's interesting - TIL about liver metabolism. I have a suspicion that sugar is possibly one of the worst hidden killers in the modern world, and I wouldn't be surprised if it surpasses tobacco and alcohol. No evidence sought, however. I tried keto diet many yea...

Being caffeine-free for a number of years, after about 6-12 months, I forgot about that "needing coffee to function" effect, and realised it made my day flow more evenly. No more massive crashes, and my overall energy levels feel better! I do enjoy making (decaffe) coffee in my moka pot - ...
