Re: the dollar journal

Great work! I did a similar weight loss journey half a dozen years ago, but unfortunately I pretty much gained it all back due to stress. Now I'm trying again and got off to a good start last year, but I keep falling off the wagon and gaining it back. Do you have any tips? My method is to cut all s...

Re: Trying lifestyle inflation. Need to spend more.

I struggle with a lot of the same things as you do OP. Don't think it's because I would mind buying things but I just hate spending money. It's inefficient to me. Sometimes I consider raising my spending and buying 'stuff' or experiences. However, I'm afraid that it would 1) open pandora's box of sp...

Re: Journal From A Dane

Sounds reasonable to me. What is your planned SWR? And is ERE your goal or simply FI?

Do you have any 'alternative' investments? I've been looking into rental property for some time but haven't really jumped on anything yet as prices seem high here in DK.

Tax refund 2
Love the accuracy of your reporting! :D Sadly you have beaten me since I only received 1 kr. back.

Anyway, seems like you are killing it. What are you investing in these days?

How far along are you on your journey?

Currently evaluating following investments:

- Carnival
- GSK

- Ship Finance

They seem to have growing revenue and profit going forward combined with a large payout.

I have picked “do almost nothing” for the last three years and it has served me well.
I did slowly increase my cash allocation in the last 12 months, but I personally don’t believe in dramatic moves (ie “all in” or “all out”)
Curious as to what your allocation is currently?

I count almost 150 years on the chart, leaving a 2.27% annual real return historically for SP500? Is that because dividends are excluded?

Re: the dollar journal

Very interesting! Would you mind sharing your tax loss harvesting strategy? Do you just sell and re-purchase whenever there's even a small loss to harvest? Yes, that's it. So last year banks tanked and I sold and repurchased those. In a few days I should receive a large refund from the Danish IRS a...

Quite a few individual stocks in your portfolio, and also quite a number of funds. Can I ask how many different stocks you own? What about funds? More than 100 I suppose. It's a lot more 'tidy' than it seems on the lists I provide here. Ex.: I own 25 of the C25 index individually - position size is...
