Re: Journal From A Dane
Great to hear that you are on track, Herp. I wonder what type of investments you have in terms of the stocks you refer to as cigar butt stocks. I also looked at a similar strategy, but I was never really able to identify any. I did see some danish very small cap stock being undervalued some years ba...

Re: the dollar journal
For the journal; I started a new business project this year. It grew like crazy but sadly the project has suffered a set back because of all the growth. Honestly it's taken a lot of my time and energy and the set back hurts. I made some mistakes and offended some people. I really hate if people don'...

Re: the dollar journal
Hi thedollar! Your progress looks terrific as always. How is your weight loss going? Still working out as well? Hi Herp, Thanks for checking in. I stopped tracking somewhere along the way because I was super stressed out by corona and some other projects. But initially I lost 10kg and they have sta...

Re: Portfolio evaluation and correcting for the wealth effect
ouch i hate this situation. on the one hand, now is a terrible, horrible, bad, no good time to put cash into the market. on the other hand, it keeps going up and up and the amount of real assets one can buy with any given level of cash is less and less. everyone is having fun except this apparent p...

Re: Portfolio evaluation and correcting for the wealth effect
Well, if we look at the 10Yr Treasury rate now, it's 1.119% (per https://www.cnbc.com/quotes/?symbol=US10Y). The value of a 60% S&P500 and 40%10Yr Treasury portfolio currently is 0.6*15.81/38.43 + 0.4 * 1.119/3.84 = 36%. Over 20 percent points lower than a year ago. How come bonds are considere...

Re: Investments Trade Log

@Bedon
I sold some specific stocks and one of them is now up 20%+.
I'm feeling FOMO and greed... Two of the best indicators that I shouldn't buy or sell anything - just leave everything as it is and focus on something else.
