Re: White Belt's Military Journey to FI

I used to have this gut problem with increased bean/lentil intake but it went away and I think I found out why. Regarding the giving up on lentils after 2 meals....I found that it takes a while (2 weeks or so for me) for your gut microbiome to adjust its bacteria population to handle the increased f...

Found in White Belts Journal: http://www.cook-greuter.com/Cook-Greuter%209%20levels%20paper%20new%201.1%2714%2097p%5B1%5D.pdf What an interesting read...smiled a few times reading this. I feel like I'm reading my autobiography or something. My mind has been at this Individualist – Pluralist Stage co...

Posting in regards to your paragraph on skills - I think you will come to find that this is a blessing in disguise. Others will see how you behave and determine for themselves that you're doing it in a better way and they will adopt ... they may even come to believe that they come up with the idea t...

Yes - on walks especially but sometimes lying in bed or pacing around while I work. Lately since working from home I'm cherishing those procrastination moments ... because now I realize what I'm really doing here is just just "buffering". There has been many times where I am stuck on a com...

@Bonde I was just about to post that video here as well. Blew my mind...I was thinking about the income robustness score when I was watching that video. He stated that he has so many different ways to make income (mostly supporting small farmers) he couldn't remember them all. He emphasized his anti...

@White Belt We've been too busy. Even having just one week off and hanging out with my Spouse has been fun. Like we're getting to know each other a little bit more. Reflecting a lot on life together. Didn't realize how robotic we were with our routine until after our son started going to Kindergarte...

STO (Sell-to-Open) PUTS on Moderna again. $350 P. Also sold some really far OTM on Intel. Was surprised to see open interest on the $48 ones but they were there. Like picking up money on a sidewalk.

Re: Lemur Journal!

@White Belt Thanks for checking in. Actually a lot tougher than I thought it would be. I didn't realize I/we spend so much in social situations (dinner at Grandparents, family gatherings, taking Spouse out, kid) etc... and it really adds up. My bicycle seat also broke yesterday lol. The good - I cut...

Never heard of Hebb's rule...so found this 'cliff note' version if anyone else is not familiar with these topics: https://thedecisionlab.com/thinkers/neuroscience/donald-hebb/ Taking a leap here so for those who understand this topic may elaborate further - this rule seems to suggest that we can lit...

Re: White Belt's Military Journey to FI

$55 is pretty decent for car insurance. Not sure if you know but I'm prior military as well. Did almost 7 years. Was enlisted. If I woke up tomorrow as a young enlistee again (forced into on-base housing), I'd just ride a bike to work. Never purchase food (use the cafeteria) and use all the free stu...

@White Belt I've not read the Moneyless Man yet but you just reminded me about the Moneyless Manifesto. I vaguely recall thinking 'this is never going to happen' and just not finishing the book...But I checked my kindle app and looks like I stopped at the chapter on 'Resource-Based Economy' so I on...

Re: Little Free Libraries

The local park we go to has one of these. Its near the playground so its mostly filled with kids books but also romance novels. Occasionally you'll find a gem. Haven't come across too many learning materials but I do recall seeing a few garden books. This is a good way to swap out kids books. I'm go...
