Re: "What the Health"

Just came across this, don't know if it's been posted here before. Might be of interest to the "optimizers" among us. https://academic.oup.com/eurheartj/article/38/32/2478/3608700/Extreme-high-high-density-lipoprotein-cholesterol Excerpt from abstract: The association between HDL cholesterol concent...

Looks pretty awesome! Is Denmark warm enough for sweet potatoes? Kansas is quite a bit further south and inland.

Re: Mechanical protection against garden slugs?

Ah, the infamous "killer slugs", bane of garden beds and ecosystems alike. These were the main reason I gave up on gardening, after realizing that 90% of the time is spent violently killing things, not tenderly nurturing little seedlings. So much for meditative hobbies. Like @Eureka said, they are a...

Re: Next Copenhagen meet-up

isn't it preferable to organize one's life so that there is no need for escapes or trips away from it? No arguing there!! The challenge is just how to go about it so that you can: 1) Be where you want 2) when you want 3) doing what you want 2) with the people you want to be with Looking forward to ...

Re: Living in Denmark: tips, challenges and questions

That travel insurance looks interesting.. will have to check it out. So far I've just got the account. Do you know if it's just a 'delays & lost luggage' insurance, of if it also covers stuff like accidents, illness, and helicopter rescue from unexpectedly erupting volcanoes? I would guess the forme...

Thanks :)
Yes, I'm also using Bank Norwegian (makes me feel like a really dodgy sort of speculator to place money in a foreign country!).
Can't believe we're getting excited about a 0.85% interest rate though... it's rather underwhelming in a historical perspective.

Hmmm.. been a while since I updated this. Net worth: (I keep forgetting) SWR: uhh, dunno.. Saving rate: A mystery wrapped in an enigma. Nope, I haven't been updating my budgets over the summer. This was at first due to the combination of off-set vacation expenses and the inevitable money back-and-fo...

Next Copenhagen meet-up

The first meet-up at Eureka's place was a resounding success (but I hope someone remembered to let FBeyer out of the tool shed...) ;)

Next meet-up will be at my place, in northern Copenhagen, at 2pm one of the following days:

I used to listen to music for hours on end... one song and it was down the rabbit hole. Problem was, I would really be listening .. doing other things at the same time just didn't work. Re: Should I Sell My Business And Retire At 33 Years Old?

Think of it this way--if you had a million dollars, would you go out and buy a website like what you have now, leaving you with however much money you have saved up at this point? That is a great (alternative) way to look at it. @tm Congrats on building such an impressive business. I look forward t...
