It used to be more lucrative. Uber recently slashed the rates so the pay is not as good after all expenses.

This makes sense in a rural community where everyone's incomes are similar and people have average financial know-how. It does not make sense in an ERE community where everyone has a strong sense of saving / finance and the incomes are varied.

What is the purpose of the cash? How old are you? If you are waiting on a pullback in the market or have some planned use for it, that could make sense, but that is a LOT of cash on hand.
