Re: Polyamory Support Group

Uh. With my appetite no way I could stand to be one of 4, unless I had several other partners as well or the other guys were interested. And obviously not everybody was using condoms. So many STDs. On the other hand I pretty much handle my needs myself now so maybe it wouldn't all be that different.

Re: Something From Nothing Log

The real Village People? Do they even have tribute bands?

I would go. But I hope they've all been working out.

Re: reepicheep's journal

Sorry if this reply gets posted twice....

We turn off our wifi at night and there's no cell service so no motivation to check my phone when (not if) I wake in the middle of the night. Luckily I don't need porn, nor imagination which I lack, nor even any recent good memories. Things just work.

Will anybody bring a copy of the ERE book for the table? I have no idea what coat I'll have on, probably a blue striped one with a hood.

Sounds familiar.

Oats have more protein than quinoa. Just saying.

I look forward to meeting you next weekend.

Reepicheep: Does the intentional community where you are staying have a name? I've visited one called Vistara a couple of times. Once to learn how to process acorns for food, and another time for a song circle and Kundalini yoga. It's about half a block from where my friends down there live. One of ...

Or day of mourning, apparently, according to some native American people. Can't really blame them.

Commitment begats stability begats relationship satisfaction.
Not always. Though from my point of view commitment has begotten stability.

Re: How would you deal with losing a social group post ER?

My goal was to do stuff with them outside of work. My Portland friend is the only one I can really claim to have made that way. There's a guy from Corvallis who I've been backpacking with one time and hope to do more but he doesn't communicate that often.

Re: How far are you willing to walk to work?

I would walk. Like someone else said 3 miles is pushing walking versus biking, at least for me. But bikes are a hassle compared to shoes.

@ZAFCorrection: Would eating lambs quarter found growing in a vacant lot in Detroit, entering into an Islamic "Contract for Sexual Relations" and/or riding a mini-bike down a narrow dirt path where the right-wing militia is rumored to practice target shooting fall into upper-middle-class-global-mon...

I wouldn't say I like it, but being retired, I've got the time to do so when I have a reason. 6 hrs roundtrip leaves plenty of hours for activities.
Not this time of year.

Re: 7Wannabe5-Take 5

What I hear is that you're going to be serial polyamory, if for no other reason than you need to keep your relationships lively. If a long term relationship is still sought, then you have a better shot at finding it while you stay in the market. And don't worry about being less attractive than the ...

Re: People to hang out regularly in central-western Oregon (Eugene/Spriengfield/Florence)

Since I retired (9/30/19) I prefer strongly that the visit time should exceed the driving time, at least in one day. I have a friend in Portland, one in Banks and a couple in Eugene. It seems they're all about two hours away!

Re: People to hang out regularly in central-western Oregon (Eugene/Spriengfield/Florence)

I'm in Falls City. I go to Eugene to visit friends but don't like to drive down and up in one day, like George. By trail bike do you mean bicycle? I like to do that in McDonald Forest just north of Corvallis. I'm a good climber but slow on downhills!
