Re: A brief discussion of abortion

I think abortion is murder, but I´m fine with other people doing it. People should be allowed to kill their own children as long as they can´t live without them, be it trough choice or stupidity. This will allow a natural selection toward a humanity that fits my criterion for goodness better. In the...

Hike in the Swabian alps 19-23.02.2018

Hi, I'm going to hike from monday 19.2.2018 in the evening for 2 to 5 days in the swabian alps. I'll start near Dinkelsbühl and will hike till Aalen. This won't be extreme hiking, because the terrain is at most hilly, but it'll be nice. I'll sleep outside. Is anyone interested in joining me? If you ...

Re: Balance between Health, Money, and Time at the Supermarket

what about dumpster diving? In switzerland, I mostly found vegetables, expensive transformed products, and bread. It's extremly fast (you get in pick everything in ok condition, and you get out), it seems ok health wise (many vegetables, completed with some whole bread) extremly cheap (free), you ge...

Re: Smelly Swiss Dilettante

It has been a long time. House rental is still doing great. My tenant is great. Last week he said "we always picture the master in the big house and servants in a small house in the garden, but here it's the opposite" I think he is learning how his need are keeping him from being free. I had similar...

Re: The viability of pet sitting?

I bought a house, rent it, and live in the garage. The only downside is to be free of obligation without any ambition. I was very lucky, because were I want to live, property taxes are very low, and the house i bought was extremly cheap for the area, which means that my mortgage is small, and that I...

I agree, I find him to be spot on most of the time. I just think he often trie to put more sense in biblical stories than there is. But if it makes christians feel and act better, that's not bad.

Re: Has anyone tried living in a garage/storage space?

I'm going to do this, but I own the property. I'm going to shave 50.- off my tenant's monthly rent and pay one third of the utilities. I will need to add a drainage around it because it tend to be wet, and insulate it a had and stove pipe and 2 windows. It's going to be 2.4x4.9 meters. I'll cook on ...

@NPV It's not only financial. It's about SHTF scenario. Being able to take care of sick people isn't a rare enough ability to make me valuable. Even if getting a nurse degree will make me better at it. I thought about becoming a veterinary too, because many knowledge can apply to other mamals, and t...

She might not want, we might break up, and I might only become a dad in more than 12 year. I just worked on a farm. A pair of friend living their just had a baby. The dad was working 6...

Spend at least one hour outdoor everyday, whatever the weather. It really helps feeling happy. Also, having something very dangerous but very usefull for the world if you are going to die anyway, is going to make the prospect of killing yourself easy to procastinate. Those two advice should help you...

Re: Work for stay while working full time? Free food from shelters?

Dumpster diving works awesomely in Switzerland and Germany. I would be curious to know how it works in Amherst but I would bet on great. You might then find someone who could give you a spare room in exchange for a warm meal every evening (which you will cook from the huge amount of food you'll dump...
