Re: Free Speech: Thank You Jacob

@mister imperceptible
What is annoying, is that sometimes, you seem to assume disagreement, when this is obviously just a vocabulaty issue. You seem to have developped some sort of paranoia due to being surrounded by people who don´t accept to disagree.

Re: in which brute says things about libertarianism

But when someone starts to bomb your city, it's just a matter of how much money you put in city bombing devices do detter potential aggressors. The kim understood this. I just realised that to not bombing people should be a high libertarian priority, and that trump bombed really few people when comp...

And we just explained why terror bombing happens, because it is the cheap answer to mass bombing and drone raids.

Re: in which brute says things about libertarianism

I don't understand the dichotomy beetween militia and standing army. Hitler's army was a militia. We have tanks and jet fighters even as a militia. Jet pilots serves several years in a row, but tanks pilot train three week a year like any other militia man. There is always someone on duty you can us...

Re: in which brute says things about libertarianism

If issued some panzerfaust type anti tank weapons, i would feel confident facing tanks with my neighbours. I have 420 days of training behind me, and while it could have been better, i still learned a few things. I would add we have bunkers all over the place. We only miss combat experience, but no ...

Re: in which brute says things about libertarianism

In terms of easy to start a business, ivory coast was best. The key factor seems how littles thieves are tolerated if we wan't to predict prosperity and its distribution. In ivory coast, fathers don't even correct their son if they steal from them, in switzerland a bankers wife being to lucky with f...

Re: Smelly Swiss Dilettante

I reread my journal, i'm proud to see i haven't had a job for four years. Many thing have changed for the better. I don't accomplish much, but i listened to my music, and i really like it. Maybe i have too low expectations.

Re: Smelly Swiss Dilettante

I could invest my time to get monney or to become a doctor. I think an ability to cure people is going to be worth more than any property title in the future. I'de like to write some sci-fi. For now, sleeping replaced gaming. I have nice dreams. Switzerland can be cheap, but yes, expats community su...

Re: How to find an ER city?

I usually bike on the road around the village. Most drivers are respectfull. Many roads have bike lanes too, including the busy part of the road to the nearest city. There are no real road shoulders in switzerland. It's either a pavement, bikelane, or grass.

Remote village in non touristic areas for buying. But the trick is that remote ain't really remote here. For renting, cities like la chaux de fonds are cheaper than villages.

Re: How to find an ER city?

In switzerland, you can find houses for 100k at bikable distance from a symphony, a college, a lake, cliffs, liberal scene, property tax are low (in the half percent) range, and there is no tax on stock valuation gains (but you can't deduct losses).

Re: in which brute says things about libertarianism

@riggerjack. That's exactly what i mean. Instead of expecting the other not to steal from you, making it impossible for the others to steal from you. That's a form of control of the behavior of others. @mister imperceptible Sjw went so far that they are now indistinguishable from any caricature we c...

Re: in which brute says things about libertarianism

We could reframe libertarianisme from a passive "don't agress" to an active "don'tolerate aggression"
