yes, just kettle and thermos. I'm quite sure red lentils would work. I tried with rice and pasta.

i havent tried it with lentils, i'de look up the cinetic or try it at home first.
my gf parents made a stirofoam cube with a hole in shape of their pot. They just but the pot in the box when the pot is hot.

it's really nice, but i wouldn't draw attention to it, because if too many people do it, it might get nerfed. the purpose of playing video game is to leave more space for people that don't find flow in video games ane have an other purpose. Of course, condition were you find an other purpose might arise in the futur.
Main thing that seem to keep people doing things outside of video game seems to be pride.

your post made me realise i forgot my vacuum bottle i use for cooking while hiking. i boil the water once, pour it in the botlle to pre heat it, close the bottle, cook the meal until hot, pour it in the bottle, close the bottle, wait about 25 minutes for rice, eat. I'll be on the Ferry that leave Travemünde on the 9 of august.
It cost 50 euros.
Adding the train to travemünde it is still cheaper than flixbus or flying.

I think all game can have negative effect when you stop being challenged but still keep playing. It then becomes a very cheap and useless way of suceeding at something. I also note that some games have problem complex enough, so that trying to solve the same problem 1 year later is still challenging...

There are a lot of very good game now. I have several games with playtime in the 4 digits. They don't help the world, but they keep me in a learning state that would otherwise require to be very invested in a career to be attained. Most job don't realy help the world either, at most, they fix issues...
