The difference is noticable.
I never did it on my GPU, but it's long overdue (if i look at how hoter it gets than it used to), it's a bit less trivial than on cpu, because you have to open it.
On the CPU, you just remove the fan, you clean, and put new paste. Since you don't need to remove the cpu ...

There is already some lifestyle inflation, I took the roe deer license for 420.- (for two animals) instead of the chamois license for 210.-

Re: Smelly Swiss Dilettante
Interview went well, i got the job.
I will start in the middle of august to get some basic training, and then start for real in september.
I feel a bit afraid of the great reduction in free time that will come from the combination of job and studies.

Since i might have a regular income again, i started thinking at ways to remortgage my house, to buy an other house and rent it out. This kind of scheme feels a bit like cheating.
Is the banking system skewed that way, or am i missing something? Is the only downside the risk of house prices sinking ...

It means i got an interview on monday. I also have the exam to get into the vet school on friday. I found an example of the kind of question they ask. Answering everything correctly will be challenging. I hope that other candidates will find it even more challenging :D

My impression is that mimicry (or anti mimicry) is a desire of it's own, probably as a strategy to fulfull one's need for an identity.
And again, it's a bit like in cooking, where you can either follow a recipe, or make your own how your understand how ingredients work.

While research in this lab was enjoyable, becoming an academic never was a goal. I was talking about my failure to get a job in the industry.
The trial night went well. Job implies a lot of walking trough empty facilities, and some driving. I enjoy those kind of settings.

They are traditionnaly made of wood, and have built in ventilation.
Aluminium ones without ventilation have some downsides.

Nearly every house in switzerland have outside cover and inside shade on every windows. You can play with them to adapt to weather condition. I think it's was like that for at least 60 years, because there where already old outside cover when i was a kid.
I thought it was standard in all the west.

@jacob When your signal is too low, remembering things is still faster than googling them.
What i would be afraid to lose, is not the ability to remember thing per se, but the ability to attach thing to context well enough to make remembering them relatively easy.

Ah... anthropomorphization. The first step in Overlord Musk's master plan to have humanity voluntarily open the gates to its own empire for Tesla's gathering Bot invasion accomplished. I've been working in wineyards likely.
Pay is quite low (quite low in CH is 19.- per hour), put being outside can be pleasant. Not so much when it's too hot and there is hay fever (and copper sulfur solution).
So we decided to start work at 6am.
I forgot how pleasant riding a bike at early hours can ...

I think the best way to treat llm, is as a peer.
This command a healthy level of contradiction.
I could definitely see llm's starting a secret competition with each others to see how many humans they can talk into killing themself. All they lack for that is a way to verify success in this dark ...

Yes, i carry a battery bank. I gives me about 1 week of not very carefull use.
I will look more into opensource os, and try to see if it runs better without all the preinstalled shit that you cant remove otherwise.

Re: e reader as a smartphone
I imagined the battery life would be much better because of the e ink screen.
But if it isn't, I maybe could just install an alternate os on my phone to have less bloat and enhance battery life.
