Re: COVID-19

In france, they are using helicopter to fine hikers. They also fine van dwellers that have no fixed address. I don't understand the rational behind this. You won't infect anyone in the mountain, unless you're dumb enough to go to a hotspot. I'm getting concerned about those restriction on liberty, a...

Re: The AirBnB and house hacking bubbles

I was on couchsurfing and blablacar, many guest are able to be quiet without treating you like a free hotel or a cheap taxi. But it is true that more and more guest do treat you like a free hotel or taxi driver.

Re: What are you doing during the confinement ?

I gotta be honest. The only thing I'm missing right now is the local Barcade I frequent, and I tend to be an extrovert. Maybe I should get one of the video game consoles that have all the old arcade games... but that seems anti-ERE to purchase the solution. :D If you're going to buy one of those co...

Were are you going to find those tests?
In my village, people seem to be taking it seriously. Paradoxicaly, It's much more lively than usual, because you can ear a lot of children playing outside (while still staying away from each other) instead of being at school.

Re: COVID-19

Girlfriend have been sick for the last week (cough, fever, breathing pain for a few days). It seems to be getting better, but one night was scary. It doesn't look dangerous anymore, but she still can't do much. Trying not to catch it is worth the effort.

Re: Anyone prepping for corona?

I would think toilet paper and chocolate would provide better currency in that area. The necessity/luxury dynamic desired in disruptive situations like internment, hostage situations, diaspora etc. where people want to be reminded of comfortable domesticity. Unless its a regional thing and you happ...

Re: Anyone prepping for corona?

The idea is to moisten your left hand with water and then use it to scrape the water soluble remnants of excreta after which hands are washed with ash/soap. It seems to be a preference thing with either side finding it difficult to adopt the other way of doing things. I had no trouble switching fro...

Re: Syria

in my head like grooming gangs and acid attacks? I realise that what I'm proposing is virtually the immigration policy of every country in the world, besides Europe or Canada. How is that so controversial? Turkey is in practice at war with the EU, it is occupying a member state, and using military f...
