You may also be able to borrow Pimsleur materials at your local library.

Re: Driving for Uber?
This is an interesting. I just heard that Uber is suggesting that people use their service as a way to pay off their car notes. What do you guys think of this?

Re: Driving for Uber?
I have talked to about a dozen people who drive for Uber and they have payment tiers. So if you drive a certain number of hours you get a bump in your payout amount. In my area they make between $15-20/hr plus tips but it depends on the time of day. Some days you have less riders than others ...

Yes, can we please make this a regular thing?! I live in Sacramento but I commute to the bay area for school and to visit family and friends. I'm there once or twice a week anyway. Let's make this happen!

Calling all Writers!
I'm not sure if there is already a thread for this but I'd like to start a thread where all of our writers here can introduce themselves. Maybe talk about their work or what they are working on.

Youtube!
My dad has taught himself how to perform certain car repairs from watching youtube videos. Some of the videos are pretty good depending on what you would like to learn.

Re: Low cost living and quality of life/safety issues
Illegal immigrants is probably a net plus to the american economy, and the notion that they're stealing jobs is probably not really true. It sounds like an oversimplification, and it's probably a good idea to look past that and see what else is going on economically.

Re: what is your home / apartment / van like?
I love my current living situation. I went back to work as a telemarketer and got into a one bedroom apartment a few months ago. I have about 680 sq ft for $695/mo. Water, garbage and sewage is included in my rent (not so common in Sacramento I'm learning). I keep my monthly expenses under $940/mo ...

Re: College student in Sacramento, CA here
I got some very diverse work experience since leaving school several years ago. I worked as an actor at an amusement park, a tour guide for a candy factory, a package handler, a cashier, a merchandiser, telemarketer, managed a funk band, and entry level marketing at a big box retailer. I don't ...

College student in Sacramento, CA here
I've been lurking in the forums for awhile and have posted a few times but it is time that I introduce myself. I am a college student in Sacramento. This is my second stab at college after bombing for a few semesters when I was younger. I decided to take time away from school to work and had an ...
