We decluttered when we sold the house (read: mistake) in the suburbs. Now we have a rule. It is less extreme than what you're doing but it is easier for us because it's .. easier (read: we're old)

I use Acanac (dot com) for my home internet DSL service on a dryloop line (not a working landline) in the Toronto area.

They are pretty cheap and the service is great (YMMV) and they do VOIP.

I run slowly, do bodyweight exercises and bike (mtb/road) in the summer (a lot). Except for $40 shoes and a bike off Craigslist, it hasn't cost me much. And, I've lost 65 lbs in the last two years.
