6,204 - Lending Club - Closing and slowly moving funds to Vanguard ... 625 - Line of Credit - Paying this off with extra income each month, don't want to break my savings pattern. Not sure I understand this... why not use the Lending Club repayments to kill the credit card debt? Congrats on donatin...

Re: Laheart's Journal - Finding Wonderland!!!!

We have an old dodge conversion van that needs a paint job coming up soon as the top is rusting pretty badly. Going to cost about $1,500 to have it painted, so have this one off expense coming up. This seems like a lot of money to put into an old van to me. I would rather put that $1500 into the ne...

Re: Laheart's Journal - Finding Wonderland!!!!

May was a great month, I started focusing on eating healthier and watching my calorie intake! Between that and working out a minimum of three times a week, I was able to lose 7 pounds! I also donated blood for the first time and it was not bad at all! Planning to work to lose another 5ish pounds in ...

Re: Laheart's Journal - Road to Financial Freedom!!!!

Stayed on track for April with my savings goal! I found out I was getting promoted at work earlier this year and it became effective April 1, so with my increased salary, I'lll be bumping up my mortgage payments so that I'm paying an additional $1,600 to principal each month. Similarly to most, my h...

Re: Laheart's Journal - Road to Financial Freedom!!!!

Thanks for the response Thrifty, I updated and put in the home value in rather than just the equity. You are right, it makes more sense to do it that way!! Hey you have stated your home equity in the details above, but I am wondering about home value, as when you subtract your assets from liabilitie...

Re: Laheart's Journal - Road to Financial Freedom!!!!

So far for this year, I'm very excited that I was able to stay on track with my monthly savings goals. My credit card balance annoys me, but through much trial and error, I've found that it's better for me to not change my savings plan and just pay the CC off as I have some extra money. This has als...

Re: Laheart's Journal - Road to Financial Freedom!!!!

Thanks for the replies so far..... These numbers are just my numbers, I don't live with my boyfriend and so we are not sharing expenses at this point. I've debated back and forth for a long time about whether to keep my condo or not. There is only about 50k in equity in it at this point. It will be ...

I've been lurking here on and off for a while as I don’t have many people to talk to about early retirement. Any advice or ideas are welcome as I'm looking to continuously work...
