There will be individual variability, but I don't think that's an excuse to discount all this literature.
We could look at it from all sorts of scientific angles. Here I'm most interested in personal well-being. I presumed that's why most of us are pursuing ERE.

<r>I used to be interested in ERE. But after a long hiatus from this blog and forum, I have grown skeptical of it's scientific validity. <br/> Here's a good summary on the research on money and happiness: <URL url="http://lesswrong.com/lw/bq0/be_happier/">http://lesswrong.com/lw/bq0/be_happier/</URL...

Paleo is hard to justify in terms of ERE. Conversely, it is easy to justify for health concerns.

In my opinion, anyways.

Looks great.
Your food is high but (for the most part) totally worth it.
I'm eating paleo too (as described by paleonu.com), but I must admit I'm not buying grass-fed. I've cheaped out and am just going to supplement my omega-3. I may change my mind though..

<r>Just a short clip by Seth Godin that relates well to ERE:<br/> <br/> <URL url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ea5IgyVd3_U">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ea5IgyVd3_U</URL><br/> Godin states that our education system is designed to churn out workers that can obediently take orders. OK, if you can just get past the hype and exaggerations I think there's *some* factually-based advice in it.
Definitely don't take any of it at face value.
Mind you, I haven't read it yet either. I perused through it though.

4-Hour Body is released. Here we go again!
Mind you, it seems more credible than 4HWW. Although the hype and narrcisism is still there.

By the way, I'm not leading towards travelling.
I'm inclined towards becoming an electrician and taking over the company. This opportunity is just golden.
I may get the degree first though.

I see where you're coming from. It'd be more comfortable travelling if you are in a steady financial/education position.

But I must say travelling is getting harder to delay. Especially since some buddies of mine want to go.
