Re: 2024 market predictions

you can see the futures market for short term rates here: https://www.cmegroup.com/markets/interest-rates/cme-fedwatch-tool.html -market is pricing in 7 cuts to 3.5% from 5.25% -I think CPI will stay at 3% -equities will go up 10% and long term rates will continue to fall -the best case soft landing...

US documents or Italian? I have a guy who can get the Italian, if needed. My comune ignored my request. He got it in days. That's so kind, thank you! My biggest issue is the Italian side. The city he departed from during immigration is not the commune where he was born it looks like. Sending a DM

When is the movie coming out? Did you get the citizenship? Link in bio for my $99 course of shortcuts in life. Just kidding ;) No passport yet. I had trouble getting a key document (original/notarized birth certificate from 1897) and gave up. I got more time to burn soon so I'm going to give it a 2...

Re: Ether's Journal

It's unorthodox, high risk and depending on your morals just plain wrong. I know it's not for most. I naturally like risk and that has bitten me in the butt several times, but since we're already a group of eccentrics I figured you might find it amusing. I got exposure to it when I worked in consult...

- Hit the 1m milestone at 28 this week. Thanks Powell for saying you will cut rates :) - I have a slight confession, the way I was able to start making $250k/yr with a normal office job was by having two remote jobs at once. Shoutout to https://www.reddit.com/r/overemployed/ which is a great online ...

Re: Follow-Up to $250K USA house --> How to Build a House?

One of the reasons people build tiny houses is that in many places in the U.S., auxiliary structures of less than 200 square ft do not require a permit That's so cool you don't even need a electrical or plumbing permit. That's the main reason the tiny home builders try to keep it under 200 sqft huh?

Some listings of beautiful (and often expensive) strawbale houses in the US: https://strawbale.com/homes-for-sale/
This seems so low cost and logical I'm surprised it's not more common! I learn something new each day

Around here, that's much less of a problem. It's quite a common way of building.

It definitely passes in places w/o code.
I've never worked in a US county that has no code. Do people even report their property to tax rolls or even have permits in those areas?

On foundations, there's screw pile foundations too. Super fast, diy friendly, zero leveling required. And do check wood framing with old style small square straw bale infill for insulation.

Any idea if straw bale passes code anywhere or is this more common with off-grid eco homes?

most contractors will file the permits with their licence but let you do the work, super common if you are subbing out with cheaper unlicensed/undocumented labor. I love this builder on tiktok and his free content covers the basics and he sells in super detailed course with every fine detail to buil...

Been looking into bank and utility preferred shares: Pros: -due to interest rate hikes prices have dropped a lot and now you can lock in 6.8% perpetual dividends and if rates drop you get price appreciation -you get better tax treatment since it capital gains and not interest income (pretty huge if ...

1. Do you see/know about workers of outside EU in your job (or not only white WASPs, ekhm or diversity hires)? I suspect not, prolly due payment/taxes hassles. USA is very multiracial and there is always still racism when hiring, but it's far from a ethnostate. I'm apart of the dominant ethnic grou...
