@Lemur,

Thanks for the reply. I am setting 5000 steps as a start. I am hoping for consistency than on and off energy bursts. Yes, I am that weak physically now. I am working mostly at desk , so physical activity is important for me.

Re: How will you evaluate this job offer

Update:

Got a call from HR and the manager for the final discussion. Refreshing the team again took place in the talk. I will cross the bridge when it comes. Pay is almost confirmed. The final decision is in the hands of HR now. Most likely will get the update tomorrow.

Thank you all.

Re: Help Getting A Job Working Remotely

I would second IT, as it has easy to acquire skills and lots of flexibility. Before spending time on acquiring the skills, look into the jobs, freelance jobs (Upwork, fiverr.. etc., ) internships , boot camps that should give you a good idea of where to spend your time. Checkout boot camps with inco...

Re: How will you evaluate this job offer

You have mentioned politics more than once. There is always a certain amount of politics, sometimes benign, sometimes toxic. Often the same politics can be viewed as benign by person A and toxic by person B in the same office. I navigate politics by always making an effort to view situations from t...

Re: How will you evaluate this job offer

@Seppia, The company is more like a family thing (with groups there) than a corporate even though they are MNC. It would be like I am offering you a role with all the things you need ( they did create a role based on my interests to lure me in but whether it will pan out in the long term is somethin...

Re: How will you evaluate this job offer

@Scott2, Understood your point. But then to my knowledge the team is already burnt out due to the workload. So I have to navigate it with prudence. Re: How will you evaluate this job offer

@Western Red Cedar, I have pretty clear idea on what do I want from life. Most concern is about how one should not affect the other. So trying to work it out. @Scott2, This would be a role in management and which includes hiring and firing. Both jobs are bit tough for me. @ertyu, I am planning on so...
