<t>The dream is still alive! I think the Ecovillage is a somewhat different idea than the Tumbleweed village, but I'm open to both. There is definitely something to be said for centralized ownership rather than communal cooperationism.<br/> Anyone who's especially interested in the Ecovillage idea, ...

<t>Seems like a no-brainer convergence of our Tumbleweed village/Nullhof/environmental custodianship ideas.<br/> Many seem to be organized as homeowners' associations. <br/> Does this have too few degrees of freedom? <t>Go barefoot! I've been doing this for about a month now in NYC. The only time I put on shoes is when I ride my bike. I know it sounds ridiculous, and it would be if I did it for budget reasons, but I'm actually doing it for health. The climate will sometimes force you to put something on your fee...

For bike touring, Warm Showers is awesome. It's like Couch Surfing, but from what I hear (I've only used Warm Showers), it's less of a crapshoot and not a 420 kind of scene (my preference).

<t>Hey Chris, Hey Dragoncar, I don't see Jay Shafer being very litigious. I think it really comes down to 1) your comfort level with doing something custom, and 2) your feelings on the ethics of using someone's design/idea without paying for it--this is only when you don't build custom.<br/> ERE pri...
