Re: surprised by change and upredictability
@ Jacob thanks for further elaborating on the topic per number. I do find such prediction helpful. And yes, like others have noticed, also a bit scary. But it is as it is. It gives direction to my choices. The new adverse and extreme weather-patterns gives me indications to where and in what period ...

Re: surprised by change and upredictability
Probably the main prediction/reduction of uncertainty is how predictable everything is.... The predictions that fare the best are the boring ones that predict that things will largely remain unchanged.... PS: I fun "game" I like to play is to take your age and apply it backwards from your...

Re: surprised by change and upredictability
That you categorize these events as unpredictable and surprising is something that could be reflected upon. In my own experience, the process of coming to grips with a "new reality" is actually quite painful. Not only do the individual events leave a mark, but what they signify is even ha...

@delay: other busted banks we used were: Iceland-bank and Amsterdam Trade Bank (FIBR).
The increase of population comes not only from immigrants. When I was born we had about 9.5 million inhabitants in an already dense inhabited country. Now we have more than 18 million inhabitants.

surprised by change and upredictability
In about the last two years we met the following unpredictabilities and how we coped with them (or not): 1 we got new neighbors who made damages to our house by refurbishing their house (both houses are direct connected). we still have legal struggles to get the damage repaired. costs: time consumin...

Well done too! I suppose the theory exam is about conserving wildlife, so your grandchildren can hunt too. I like wildlife to watch. Yesterday late in midday I saw a beautiful deer here in an already thawed meadow near the Alpine village I live in winter. The birds are coming back. This year was ver...

Re: Mastermind Group #2: Electric Boogaloo
Our group still exists, and we have monthly meetings on discord. @Grundomatic organizes it. Today we discussed about ERE city/community. We searched what drives us to think about such a clustering. Of course the positive reactions of the recent erefest so well organized by @AxelHeyst are proof of th...

Yes, go on. And read further. There are a bunch of (American) medical skilled specialists on nutrition (not connected to the “industry). See @Oey recently.

Yes I see the difference. And that it depends on each character and her experience.
As entrepreneur I have learned to realise rather complicated projects by searching and finding the people and companies who made it happen. Therefore I would rather be participating in an ERE hostel hub. Part-time.

Re: Choosing your life's calling
My life’s calling? Calling and Choose are contradictory, I think. Perhaps it is better (if you relate it to paid jobs) to speak about choosing work what suits you, what fit with your skills and hopefully with your caracter. Life‘s calling has a more esoteric meaning I think. The overarching meaning-...

Thanks a lot mF. In winter the high Alpine huts here are closed, due to avalance risk and adverse/dangerous conditions. I stay always below tree-growing level.

Ahh, what a tempting train develops here! Suddenly I can become a neighbor of @grundomatic, of @sodatrain, of @Jacob, and @theanimal. Or even (see other threads) near @jennypenny or near @zigby. Ohh, if I had more than one life... I would live in all those places for some shorter or longer time. To ...

Growing old as I am/do/plan/imagine. First I studied health (lifestyle) and nutrition, gone deep, looked how it works for my body and mind. And practised. So I will stay away as long as possible from the “health industry. Second, I have a plan, and realised it. As mentioned also by others: I have th...
