<t>Thrift stores are hit or miss. Target has a shockingly good selection of clothing. In the last few years they have really stepped their game up--it looks good and the material is decent quality for the price point. I bought a couple of thermal shirts for $25 each and wore them all the time this p...

<t>I'm going to have to go the true ERE route here and and say that since most people on here probably aren't in college anymore, quality is better than quantity. IMO, I prefer to enjoy my alcohol in smaller amounts, rather than try and get hammered. Take my suggestions with a grain of salt, but I d...

<t>WA--$200/year...City of Seattle (proper) is horrible, though. We pay 10% of our gross income every month to B & O taxes. THEN we pay quarterly taxes to L & I based on the number of employee hours worked. It is a difficult state to do business in, to say the least.<br/> Also, it is worth n...

<t>@jacob- Those boots look great, but how can they be obtained in the U.S.? I seem to recall you saying somewhere you purchased them in Europe and haven't seen them anywhere in North America. Most of the Norwegian Welt boots from the US look fairly ugly. They also look more water resistant than the...

<t>@Piper- Those Russell boots look amazing. I poked around on their website for awhile last night. I think the best part about those is their versatility. The clunky Norwegian Welt boots look durable as can be, but they would be difficult to pull off in many situations. <br/> Can anyone vouch for t...

<t>@JohnnyH - When you say real estate and landlording are you talking residential single family houses? That definitely is far more work than is worth it, and with the current market depending on when you bought it could be a terrible investment. I personally know of a few different people trying t...

<r>@hickchick - I have a resume in food and beverage management/bartending/serving, etc. that spans almost 10 years. My 80+ hour work weeks will be down to 45-50 hours very shortly. I've recently hired a manager to help me out, and have one more in training as we speak. It sounds crazy, but it is wo...

<t>I own a bar in Seattle currently and have around 15 employees (myself included). I can completely identify with what people are saying above--working for yourself and not having to be stuck in a cubicle on the 15th floor somewhere is an amazing feeling. <r>@HSpencer- I can completely agree with just about everything you said in your original post. I'm 26 and I'm scared that my generation is out there in the work force. Definitely a good time! Wish I could've been able to be a part of it 110%, but what I was able to partake in was awesome. Really fun meeting with all of you today, we will definitely have to make it a point to do another one at some point in the not-so-distant future.
