I know the ERE-philosophy usually moves people in the DIY direction, but for those who still depend on (many to a few) store-bought products, GoodGuide could be a good compass in deciding what to buy. Many common products are rated based on their health and safety concerns, environmental impact, and societal impact (based on factors such as worker right's, etc.)
Many of us know that a lot of the personal products we use are toxic, but I definitely found some surprises here. Hope it's useful!
