I saw an article in the newspaper today about BetterInvesting.org; the investment club non profit organization. The article said the collective individual investment clubs that participate in their program have average a YTD return of 15.6% vs. 13.8% average 5 year return for their top 100 picks vs. the S&P Equal Weight Index.

I tried to start a family and friend investment club several years ago, but I couldn't drum up enough interest in it to get it going. I would love doing that, but my family don't hold the same view of things that are fun vs. things that are not.
