A British centenarian of Indian ancestry became the oldest person ever to complete a full 42-kilometer (26-mile) marathon over the weekend in Toronto, Canadian media said Monday.
Fauja Singh, 100, took eight hours to cross the finish line -- more than six hours after Kenya's Kenneth Mungara won the event for the fourth straight year.

Amazing. But spare a thought for the 27 year old guy who died on Sunday in the same event (but in the half).
As a runner I know these things happen but it is sad for someone that young. A good eye opening reminder for us ERE types that you can die young so enjoy yourself now but then again you could live to 100 so plan ahead !
