A British centenarian of Indian ancestry became the oldest person ever to complete a full 42-kilometer (26-mile) marathon over the weekend in Toronto, Canadian media said Monday.
Fauja Singh, 100, took eight hours to cross the finish line -- more than six hours after Kenya's Kenneth Mungara won the event for the fourth straight year.

Favourite quote from this article.....'Achieving this will be like getting married again.'
Can't tell whether he enjoyed this or just wanted to punish himself ;)
In all seriousness though, well done to him, oustanding achievement.

Amazing. But spare a thought for the 27 year old guy who died on Sunday in the same event (but in the half).
As a runner I know these things happen but it is sad for someone that young. A good eye opening reminder for us ERE types that you can die young so enjoy yourself now but then again you could live to 100 so plan ahead !
