@Hoplite, you speak the truth! Luckily, I have some good friends who warned me about the nightmares of alternate side parking, which was a major factor in helping me to decide to sell my car. Not to mention that I had to replace my tires and fix a window that committed suicide...all in one month! Some days, I had the urge to yell at my car "What do you think, I'm made of money?!?" but I realized that would have been futile.
@FrugalZen, you must be the voice of reason among your friends. Everything you said was spot on. I actually found out that info before we made the transaction. We made the title transfer at the credit union. We were unable to make it to te tag agency because they were closed and the buyers were headed out of town for a few days. We have planned to do it on Tuesday since tomorrow is a holiday.
@LiquidSapphire, I'm still in a state of euphoria. You can probably relate.
@freudgirl, I know what you mean. If I had decided to stay in my current city, I'm not sure how feasible it would have been. Although, before I decided to move, I began strategizing how I could make it work. I guess that's the first step.
@rachels, you're right. I was glad to find that out beforehand. It also helped me to understand why potential buyers were 'low balling' me.
@ksoto, what a horrible situation. Duly noted.
@jzt83, truer words have never been spoken.
On the day that I sold it, my heart yelled "FREEEDOOOOOM" *Mel Gibson in Braveheart style*
