I just installed a post counter. It had the option to include titles depending on the number of posts and I couldn't resist.
Claim your genius [or your age] by being the first one to identify the ranking system.
Well any ranking system that includes "Mostly Harmless" is from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, circa 1980... I listened to the original USA radio broadcast in my freshman dormitory.
It's from Elite. I was internally debating whether to include the "Below Average", "Dangerous", and "Deadly" ratings, since they were un-PC. For now, I've left them out. I don't think we need to worry about Dangerous and Deadly for a while, but if anyone would rather be "Below Average" than "Mostly Harmless" for a longer time, I'll put it back in
EDIT: Okay, pox on the PC. I put back to the full rankings (-:
Ha! I keep vacilating between remaining true to the Elite rankings for consistency and not calling someone "Below Average" (16-31). The next problem is when someone hits 1000 posts, which qualifies for "Dangerous"
PS: You'll be Average after 3 more posts
PPS: I'm open suggestions other than Elite rankings.
SO I guess DOR (date of rank) and TIS (time in service) don't count on the promotion board? What about a check box that shows "Service member has the ability to perform at the next higher grade"?
