@George, indeed sad but unlike many others i do not need to work overtime. What sadden me most is that i have to constantly challenge my own belief to achieve some of my KPIs.

May 2015 update:

Nothing much has changed however with an end in mind it helps to settle my heart.

Previously i walked the ER journey alone, my wife was never on board. She cannot understand then till she is in her current job where her job demands are so great. Now she is a new convert. It is definitely nice to walk the FIRE journey with someone. We talked much about it during our long evening walk. We have so many things in common now!

June 2015 update:

Recent downturn has swiped out 20% from my investment fund. Well, hopefully it is temporary and will regain back a few year later. It is probably going to be a long wait. Just received another dividend of $5,612, bringing Y2015 total dividend to $8,777 @ 4.9% return. Am i affected by it, not really. All i care is that these companies continue to stay profitable and give dividends above 5%. My plan is to invest in 20 companies with each company holding only 5% of my investment fund. In the case that one of them goes bust, it could only cause 5% damage and can easily recover back by the dividends collected.

Work wise, i have just completed another key event. Now i can stay low and invisible till end of the year.

Cash Investment & Savings ($245,330)
1. Investment fund: $179,115@4.9% return (Dividend collected for Y2015: $8,777)
2. Saving: $54,265
3. Emergency fund: $11,950

Savings for June: $6,726

Jul 2015 update:

I have increased my investment to $217,373, and basing on Y2014 dividend payouts it should give me 6.28% return. I am fully aware that past payout do not guarantee future payout. But by spreading my investment over 20 companies, i hope it would minimize the risk. Having said that, my current investment is spread over 3 companies...High risk. However, I am prepared to take this risk while i am still working. Will plan to re-profile my investment over the time.

Cash Investment & Savings ($254,604)
1. Investment fund: $217,373@6.28% return (Dividend collected for Y2015: $8,777)
2. Saving: $17,231
3. Emergency fund: $20,000

Savings for Jul: $9,274
